Frequently ASked Questions
What does COIN do?
COIN connects and supports service providers, faith communities, schools, and other community organizations who serve immigrants and refugees through monthly partner meetings, awareness building through newsletter and collaborations, and educational events.
Does COIN work with immigrants and refugees? Are you a direct service provider?
While the organizations that make up the coalition work with immigrants, COIN itself does not offer direct services. Rather, COIN strives to support the organizations who work with immigrants and refugees through education, collaboration, and referrals.
Who is a part of COIN, and how do I join?
COIN is made up of direct service providers, non-profits, legal representatives, mental health professionals, schools, and interested volunteers. There is no official membership or manner to “join” the Coalition. We partner with anyone who cares about our immigrant and refugee neighbors. Any organization interested in attending a monthly meeting can Contact Us.
Can I come to a monthly partner meeting without being a member of the coalition?
Yes. There is no official membership for the coalition. If you wish to attend a meeting, Contact Us.
