About Us
The Coalition for our Immigrant Neighbors is made up of service providers, non-profits, legal representatives, mental health professionals, schools, and interested volunteers. Together, we coordinate community efforts to support Central Indiana immigrants, with an emphasis on legal and mental health services.

Our Story
In March 2016, lawyers Lindsay Faulkenberg and Kent Newton met to brainstorm proactive solutions to best support the needs of Central Indiana immigrants. After numerous meetings with community partners, Kent and Lindsay decided to focus their efforts in two domains: legal and mental health resources. The Coalition for Our Immigrant Neighbors was founded.
OUR MISSION
COIN connects service providers and community supporters across Central Indiana to advocate for, equip, and empower our immigrant neighbors to thrive.

OUR VISION
We envision our immigrant neighbors thriving with dignity in Central Indiana with access to a unified and responsive Network of Support.
OUR VALUES

Collaboration
COIN is a coalition. This means community organizations and individuals from various sectors come together to share existing resources and coordinate services for Indiana immigrants. We believe that we are better together.

Connection
COIN believes in the power of connection. We connect organizations with each other and volunteers with immigrant communities. Through connection, we build bridges: between organizations and between community members, citizen and aspiring citizen alike.

Service
COIN recruits pro-bono attorneys, law students, volunteer interpreters, and more. We hold that meaningful exchange with others provides gratifying opportunities to strengthen and support the greater Indianapolis community.
